The Omak Stampede and World Famous Suicide Race

Central District representative Tim Patrick invites you to The Omak Stampede and World Famous Suicide Race, Sunday Aug. 16 at  421 Stampede Drive E, Omak WA 98841.

Indian pow wow starts at 1pm with lots of colorful dancers. The rodeo starts at 2pm with wild action in saddle bronc and bare back riding.  Then on to calf roping, barrel racing, team roping and bull riding.  The day concludes about 5pm with the suicide race, where 18 riders and horse fly down a hill and plunge into the Okanogan River, up the other side and race into the arena.  It is all over in 50 seconds!  

Tim will show you all the best spots to capture the action. We can also visit the beer garden after the event if there is interest. 

All PPW member are invited. Omak is 4 hours from Seattle, 3 hour from Spokane and 2 hours from Wenatchee.
