• Our 2020 Conference Highlights

    • PPW State Photo Competition – April 4th. Watch for more details and follow us on our social media to get updates. Competition uploads begin on February 13th – so get those prints ready to showcase your work and get some merits in the new year!     • Lodging is at the Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center1100 N. Sullivan Rd.,Spokane Valley, WA 99037. Make room reservations by calling 509-924-9000. Ask for PPW Group Rate: $119.00 + tax (single occupancy) or $129.00 + tax (double occupancy). Hotel reservations must be booked by March 5, 2020. We have a limited room block that is first come, first served. 


    • Visit the PPW Merit Winning Image Gallery which will be open for the public to view from Saturday night to Sunday night. Walk around and visit with the judges about the 12 Elements of a print and what makes an image a winner. To see past winning images click here.


    • Mary Ann Breshears, AFP will share How to Create Your 2020 Vision - what makes a thriving photography business or a successful professional photographer? Is it the right gear? A beautiful studio? Pure talent? Mary Ann will share with you why you cannot give up. Her presentation will focus on developing the habits that become routines to help us create a successful photography business. Click here for more


    • Tim Mathiesen, M.Photog.Cr. F-ASP, EA-ASP from Laguna Niguel, CA is presenting our State Judging Academy - a workshop will cover the process of judging and will break down the judging process so that you will better can understand the “12 Elements” of print competition, scoring, challenges and, most importantly, the rules that govern the entire print competition. More info here


    • Bruce Berg, M.Photog. Cr. from Springfield, OR – will help us reframe our thinking with Change or Die! In this session, Bruce covers tips on taking control of your life as a photographer and establishing steps to get solid referrals, improving your SEO, improving your work, and valuing your time. Learn More


    • Toni Johnson-Harryman, M.Photog Cr. from Norwalk, IA – will help us Dream. Emote. Play. Create. Learn about Inspiration, composition and basic art principles. Getting emotion into our work. Click Here


    • Gena Tussey, M. Photog, CPP, Marysville, TN – will show us Fluffy Butts for Fun and Profit. Creating the ideal pet session takes time and thought to be able to not only light and set properly but provide the idea environment for the comfort and convenience of pets and their owners. Learn more

    • Dictonary.com called the Roaring 20’s "a boisterous era of prosperity, fast cars, jazz, speakeasies, and wild youth.” Now that sounds like a great party to us! This will be a full-on Fun Costume Party - so get your best gangster, flapper and rum-runner outfits ready and dress to the nines! We will hold off the coppers while we enjoy dinner with great jazz, which is a fundraiser for the PPW Scholarship Fund. After dinner we will retire to Larry's Speakeasy hosted by Larry Capone (Al’s long lost brother) and a flow of some fancy drinks from the bar (shhh, prohibition is in full swing).     • We wrap up the Conference celebrating with the 68th PPW Annual Awards Banquet. The formal evening begins with honoring our Life Members in PPW as well as introducing our Board members, handing out the 2020 Conference Awards and announcing all the winners of the Image Competition. After the awards - we will round out our 2020 event with a great after-party and congratulate all the winners! This event is a must attend for those who want to extend the great experience that is Spring Conference and make plans for a prosperous great of the year.
