Digital Workflow for Today's Professional Photographer

Make your life easier. A streamlined and efficient workflow is the key to happiness! OK, there are other things required, but it's a good start. When you work quickly, safely, and effectively, you have more time to devote to creative and marketing efforts - where your time is much more valuable.

This workshop, from workflow expert, Kevin Kubota, will cover:

• Setting up your studio for efficiency. Job organization, systems, hardware, & software that works.

• A complete imaging workflow, from capture to presentation, using Lightroom or Bridge.

• Creative capture techniques for natural, emotive images.

• Marketing & Branding Essential tools to build any business.

• Selling without Selling. No pressure, highly effective tools for the artistic sales.

Today's Seniors

I built my senior business on an attitude of 'build it and they will come'. My husband thought I was crazy with my little make shift sets that we made out of free pallet wood but it worked! I was creating something different than the seniors saw at other studio's and that got them talking... and being different is what I still strive for today.

You don't have to have thousands of dollars to get your outdoor studio started, mine started with some free pallet wood and a little creativity! My favorite place to shoot is in my outdoor studio, I love outdoor light with reflectors. I also enjoy the art of posing and will help you bring your posing to a new level.

iPhotographer

Join Rob Behm for a full day of learning everything you don't already know about your Mac computer! Whether you are a seasoned Mac user, or are just curious about the phenomenon that is Apple Computer, this program will entertain and inform you about how you can be a better user and make the most out of the technology contained on this popular computer.

Included will be in-depth looks at the iLife suite, trouble shooting your Mac, and how to get the most out of the Apple operating system, hailed as the finest, most stable platform in the computing world today!

Maternity and Newborn Portraits

Join Christy and watch her work magic with maternity and baby sessions! Specializing in this area of portraiture can be challenging but Christy has the technique to accomplish it with flair. This program will be a mix of actual photography as well as sharing marketing concepts from advertising to packaging. If you want to improve or begin to offer this type of work to your clients, don't miss this time with the "baby whisperer" from Oklahoma.

Seeing

Ken Sklute is one of Canon's Explorers of Light, a designation shared by only 48 top photographers worldwide. During his 35 year photographic career, Ken has been named Photographer of the Year a total of 27 times between Arizona, New York, and California. In 2009, Ken was awarded the Photographer of the Year from the Professional Photographers of California.

Ken will be sharing his vision, concepts and ideas of how to begin to "see" the world around us in a new light and how to capture those visions with our camera. The day with Ken is sure to expand your own vision and help you learn to "see" beyond what you do now.

Weddings and Brides of Today

This program covers the art of wedding photography from beginning to end. It is packed full of valuable information on everything you need to know to make wedding photography a successful part of your business.

Expect to come away with new ideas on creative marketing to get you the clients you want, branding your style to make you unforgettable, catering to your clients in a way that makes you their best friend, and how to create images that are trendy and stand out in today’s market (and yes, this last part requires technical skill). This program is a great blend of business and beauty, technical and artistic.

Topics covered in this presentation are:

1. Money and Market Mindset – What is yours? Let’s talk bottom line, how much are you really making, or losing in your business as it stands now? Let’s throw some numbers around, shall we?

2. IMAGE: You never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression. In the beginning...there was….NOTHING!...So, start creating! and, “Pretend until you become”!

3. Throwing your line out there and reeling in your catch– and deciding whether or not to keep it!

4. Good Hospitality – when it’s your party, be the best dressed person there – on the outside and the inside!

5. Setting and then Exceeding your clients expectations! – It’s easy to do when you set the bar to begin with.

6. Creating work that makes your image a reality and not a sham. Let’s talk cameras, lenses, lights, post production and products!

Nik Software and the Power of Light:
Redefining the Perfect Capture

Understanding and controlling light quality is at the core of all of Tony’s presentations. Attendees will learn how to see a unique perspective and not be afraid to push the limits of their experience and talents.

Tony will discuss and demonstrate all types of lighting and its tools in depth. Lighting tools include portable flash, studio strobes, sunlight and ambient light. Lighting applications include additive, subtractive, reflective and transmission. Each combination of tool and application will be shown and discussed in detail. Tony will discuss and illustrate the importance of control in the digital capture and how a few seconds of extra time spent at time of capture can save hours in post production.

Tony always spends time discussing Light Quality as well as Light Quantity and how Light Direction plays a significant role in the resulting mood of an image.

Tony has been teaching lighting concepts and techniques for over twenty years and his week-long workshops on the topic always fill to capacity. In the last three years alone, Tony spoke to over 10,000 photographers worldwide.
